Ford vs Chevy - The Eternal Question...

The Back Alley Cruisers Car Club was founded in the summer of 2007 by 6 neighbors with classic cars feeling the need for an identity. In our back alley we separate Ford and Chevrolet by a common strip of tar. Between 4 households we have 10 classics/muscle cars. Our back yards, separated by the alley, hold a variety of classic cars, some hot rods, some cruisers, all brought together by one fire pit and popcorn. However Ford and Chevy do work together at times, to cruise far off or maybe not so far off destinations, help each other with repairs or restorations, and receive counseling from the "other side of the alley."

MEET OUR MEMBERS

Jeff & Shannon - Recenlty married on the starting line at Brainerd International Speedway, have a '67 Chevelle and a '65 Chevy II. The Chevelle was purchased in the fall of 2006 and was restored by Jeff & Shannon themselves in 4 months. It was driven to it's first car show on April 26, 2007. In 2009 Shannon finally got her big block for the Chevelle. Maybe now she'll be able to beat Jeff on the track. Jeff has owned the Nova for 22 years and after slowly progressing on the resto for some time, he pulled an all nighter with many friends to get it to the wedding on time. It's suede paint job sure is an eye catcher, with flames and all. He will probably always be making changes to it, but for only having a small block chevy, this little car goes!!!

Jeff & Tammi - Own a '61 Ford Fairlane 500, which is getting a new motor this year as well as some much needed body work. Jeff & Tammi are both very active MSRA (Minnesota Street Rod Association) members.

Arlow - Who's get up and go has got up and went! He thinks he's funny, for a man who can't seem to find the gas pedal. He is probably our most knowledgeable member. Arlow is the proud owner of a '50 Ford that he just purchased last summer and a '56 Ford that he has had for many years.

Tim - Our artistic comedian is in the process, along with Jeff, of designing a great logo for our club. Watch for it soon! Tim ownes an original Cosworth Vega and is also restoring a '32 Studebaker Coupe. We all think the coupe is going to be a real eye catcher. Still waiting for that awesome new logo??!!

Newest members are Mike and Glenn, check out the photos page for pics of all members cars and activities. We are adding members all the time so keep checking back for updates. Hope you enjoy our site.
